Museum

Roped off objects, some kept on pedestals, are littered around this part of the temple, given enough space. There is a stand with a tlachieloni on it, peering through it lets you see the contents of other museums.

Obsidian Cross says: For all the history of looting, people underestimate physical objects as a way to understand people. Though poor documentation of excavated objects makes it diffuclt to use that method. Here you can see what kinds of objects are associated with Tezcatlipoca, and specific examples in museums, including one that was used by a certain self important ignorant fool I have no strong feelings on.

Types of objects linked to Tezcatlipoca

Obsidian Mirrors: The most well known one, they are known to come in two shapes, circular and rectangular, with most attention given to the circular. The circular ones generally come in two sizes (no known reason for the size variance) and have a slight projection with a hole that allows them to be worn as an ornament.

Ceramic Flutes: The ixiptla of Tezcatlipoca would go down the streets playing a flute, and when ascending the temple to be sacrificed he would break a flute beneath his feet on each step. A specific type of flute where the end resembles a blossoming flower, thus referred to as a flower-flute, is associated with Tezcatlipoca.

Momoztli: This is a tricky one to identify as the word can vary in meaning from small shrines to whole temple. While ethnohistorical sources say there are ones associated with Tezcatlipoca the archeological evidence has yet to positively identify Tezcatlipoca momoztli, which does not mean they didn't exist, it's possible some have been excavated but unidentified, especially since the small ones are given less priority compared to major temples.
